We are the McDonalds. We met senior year in high school in piano class. We have been together since we were 17 , July 20th, 2008 to be exact. We got married at 19 on July 20th, 2010. We were unaware of what we signed up for, but are now both committed to forever and take our vows literally. Take implies a constant process. We are here to impart the knowledge and wisdom, we have acquired in our marriage in hopes that it may help someone else. Marriage doesn't just stay for better, for richer, and in health. Sometimes we get to the sicker, poorer, and the worse part of marriage. We depend on God for strength and to get us through the roughest patches in life. That is what Love Deeply Rooted is. It is a love that is deeply rooted in Christ like a tree.
We believe that building a foundation on Christ will strengthen your faith as you go through life and your obedience will not return void. You will be overcome with thankfulness, for how God has kept you.
Colossians 2:7New Living Translation (NLT)
7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
We believe that if your roots are not deep enough, then when trials and tribulations (hot sun) come, your marriage will wilt and eventually die. So it is imperative to use, refine, and practice wit the tools God has given you.
Matthew 13:6New Living Translation (NLT)
6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.
Please, don't discount us, because we are young.
1 Timothy 4:12 ”Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”. and Job 32:8-9 ” But it is the spirit of Almighty God that comes to us and gives us wisdom. 9 It is not growing old that makes us wise or helps us to know what is right.”
